Saturday June 9th 2001 - The Berg Rally
OCTO and friends were having a camp-out near Irvine lake, something which is not standard out in the USA (all european shows have on site camp-outs). We intede to take a look at the camp in the evening but John Plow (cal-look.com) told me that the last bit of the Berg Rally involved big burnouts and more MCing by Dyno Don. This sounded good to me so we made our way over to the Knowlewoods diner around 6.
By the time we got to Knowlewoods it was already hard to find a parking spot. Most of the rally cars hadn't even finished by that time. Everybody started to park in the "red-zones" (fire-lanes). Which didn't interfear traffic, but the cops that arrived didn't like it and they started to write tickets. Most people could move their cars before that time, but some had to pay a ticket.
By the time the 5th cop plus a dog showed up, we figured that burnouts were not going to happen that night, so we opted to go back to the hotel around 20:30
